The Birmingham Runners Shop has been providing runners in the Midlands with top quality running shoes and clothing since 1983. It is genuinely regarded as the Midlands No. 1 Running Specialist catering for all types of runners.

For the past 10 years the shop has been owned and run by Dave Ireland, a former PE Teacher and rugby player with Leicester Tigers who has always been a keen runner competing with Peterborough AC in the 70s, Wye Valley Road Runners early 80s and since 1985 has been a member of Sparkhill Harriers in Birmingham. Dave has a PB of 2hours 45min for the marathon.


All of the staff are keen sportsmen actively involved in running, rugby, football or personal fitness. The manager Rob Witheridge is a keen gym enthusiast with extensive knowledge of gait analysis and footstrike. Adam Willis is a county standard rugby player and is Captain of Camphill Rugby Club. Jimmy Robinson is a keen footballer and is currently doing a degree in sports science. .
